Macomb County Bar Foundation (MCBF) The Macomb County Bar Foundation is the charitable affiliate of the Macomb County Bar Association and is a reflection of the Macomb County legal community’s 100 years of public service and civic involvement.
Contributors The Founders are forever memorialized on a sculpture located on the first floor of the Macomb County Circuit Court. These early contributors gave life to the Foundation.
Trustees The Foundation Trustees are Macomb County Bar Association members and members of the community who make an annual contribution to the Foundation. The Foundation’s scholarship committee oversees the application and awarding of the Trustee’s College and the Trustee’s Law School scholarships. Trustees elect the Foundation’s Board of Directors each spring.
Kimberly M. Cahill Memorial Fund Kimberly M. Cahill Memorial Fund is a separate and specific fund the Macomb County Bar Foundation dedicated to the memory of Kimberly M. Cahill, a well known and highly respected Macomb County attorney who served as President of the State Bar of Michigan in 2006-2007. Ms. Cahill died January 21, 2008 after a brief illness. Ms. Cahill was a tireless advocate of lifelong learning. She understood that knowledge is the cornerstone of a productive and rich life, responsible citizenship and access to justice. Her devoted family, friends and colleagues have established this fund to encourage projects and programs that advance Ms. Cahill’s legacy that learning is paramount in all phases of life, especially when applied to serve others and to promote justice essential to our community.
